Andrew Meade  McGee

I am a PhD Candidate in the Corcoran Department of History at the University of Virginia, specializing in twentieth century United States political and cultural history, and the global history of environment and technology. My undergraduate degree from Harvard College was in History and Literature, predisposing me to take a literary perspective to many humanities questions. My dissertation is a political history of the computer, exploring how new ways of conceiving of and managing information after World War II changed the federal policy-making process.
