I'm an audiovisual archivist, currently working with the UVa Library Preservation Services department to address conserving, describing, and providing access to archival film, video, and audio holdings. I'm a graduate of NYU's relatively young Moving Image Archiving and Preservation graduate program, and in a former life I harbored a semi-academic interest in Cinema Studies. Now I seek to preserve art & artifacts from the bottom of of history's rubbish pile, rather than adding more to the top of it. I'm an editorial dropout (spending several exceedingly rewarding years working at Cabinet magazine), a merry pessimist, and a Fluminense supporter.
